An unearthly silence
ascended then within
as all that was amended
sought to be itself alone
for I’d reached beyond
the world of man to find
the stars and galaxies
lived truly, deep inside of me
and I my self, just one
to bridge the gap

I sought and found again
the deepest river of my being
Love that runs so strong and true
it overcomes it all
and the flood of this now rages
into eternity, yet too
within each form, so basic
of my own creative urge

Flesh responded then
again in harmony with tides
of greater magnitude
than any system man alone
might think that he controlled
while paradise, the heaven
of all longing’s magnitude
rushed through me in rejoicing
of all of life within itself

All within one moment
centered in a presence
well beyond the intellect
where an unearthly silence
spoke it all...
