Hold the Moonlight
(For my one and only daughter)

Hold the moonlight in your hand
and feel its healing. Believe it true,
with every fiber of your being. Let
it flow and glow and glisten in the
utter dark of night. Awaken in the
sleep of dream, and find the feel
of everything you need.

Ever so gentle, the feeling expands.
Heart-light of the healing lands.
The light of bright and sunny days
reaches too, for this, in its reflection.
The stars bow down in affirmation,
twinkling within a joyous laugh of
pure delight. Spring is in the air.

It matters not the cold or heat,
for here we come to find a feel
of all that is complete - in this
intimate and imminent reflection.
Its grace is never given, and yet
in its reception, every step is
heaven bent.

Believe in the light of the sun
shining down. Believe in this earth
from which our lives are spun.
Believe that every breath you take
must make a mighty difference.
No matter where you are, or
what you do - you are significant.

Think of all the many lives that
lived themselves in the expectancy
of your being born just here. And
know that every moment of your life
is meant to be. One and then another,
the many and the few. The girls, the
boys - the women, men - they know
of all the gifts that your life
offers unto them.

You are - and there, a star so all
aglitter in the indigo - shines through
the night and day, because of you.
Seeming solitary moments moving
into timelessness - eternity is just a
touch away. Just hold the moonlight
in your hand and feel its healing.
Believe it true, with every fiber of
your being. Let it flow and glow
and glisten in the utter dark of night.

Awaken in the sleep of dream,
and find the feel of everything
you need. This has always been
and will be true, for so long
as you can feel the moonlight
reaching out to you...
