Over a Year

Over a year, and it's finally done -
all of the misery, all of the fun.
Spring has come to freshen everything.
Fall fell hard, the winter whined.
This summer ought to be sublime.

You gave it all, I took it in.
I melted in the heated spin.
You left me there, upon the floor.
Whispering, no more, no more.
The no more found its way
back home to you.

You stuttered and you stammered.
The wind blew cold, you staggered
out the door. Running fast and hard
from nevermore. The dawn arose,
the shadows fell. The angels sang,
the tale was told.

Over a year, and it's finally done -
all of the misery, all of the fun.
Spring has come to freshen everything.
Fall fell hard, the winter whined.
The summer comes in unity sublime...
