But Then, We Feel

It's the strangest thing sometimes, the way life happens.
Beyond our will or want or any sanction of society.
We live and breathe, and all else is surreal.
But then, we feel.

Seismic waves and sunny days.
These things will see us through.
Welling up from depths unknown,
reminding us that home's not far away.

The comfort of a gentle touch.
The way we always feel so much.
The love and grace that blesses everything.
To hear the angels singing everywhere.

And then, one day, the angel comes to stay.
A million stars found in its eyes.
The pleasure of a grand surprise.
The undertow, and life begins again.

Even as it seems that we must end.
Oceanic realms of living particles of soul.
To reach and touch and know ourselves
essentially, as movement in the ever growing whole.

It's the strangest thing sometimes, the way life happens.
Beyond our will or want or any sanction of society.
We live and breathe, and all else is surreal.
But then, we feel...
