Colorado Nights

Sun streaking through the morning sky.
A tint of Colorado nights.
A loneliness that just won't go away.
Where now, the days when faeries played with thee?

Streams rushing down the mountainside.
Snow melting - and the eagle flies into the great unknown.
You hide within the strictures you have grown.
The innocence of love has lost its home.

The wind is blowing - endlessly alive.
The aspens speak of magic
as they sway into another lullaby.
There was a time you used to feel it too.

Rainbow glory circling the sun.
Untime where all the world became just one.
Sun streaking through the morning sky.
A tint of Colorado nights - and thee...
