Of Thee

Shall I write of thee today...?
And of all the ways we used to love
Silent moments of a gentle touch
Querulous, the question and the rush

Passions building, life on fire
Dreams of deep and high desire
Closer, closer, giving in
Melting and then start again

Shall I write of thee today...?
How long its been since last we touched
That words can never be enough
To tell you how I feel

Forlorn, empty, still surreal
Nothing is quite real since you are gone
The dawn of love is dim in memory
Yet still, it feels you are my destiny

Shall I write of thee today...?
And how I miss the flights of mind and flesh
When in unity we moved through heaven's door
Two sets of eyes that dimmed the sunlit skies

Shall I write, then, of the suffering...?
How meaningless all time became
The day you went away
The pain increasing day by day by day
How it seems that I shall never love again

Shall I write of thee today...?
Or should I simply try to say goodbye
yet one more time - knowing that
I still can't let you go...
