Once Was

Your touch, that once
was healing - become
no more than pain.

The feel of you,
so misconstrued,
now found within the falling rain.

A gentle drizzle, more like mist.
Warm and cool, a feel of bliss.
Washing all the many cares away.

The field has been plowed
and seeds are planted.
What will the fall of yet another
winding year bring on...?

The tapestry is spun
by someone mightier than man.
Threads of energy imbued
by more than any of them ever planned.

That attitude, so positive,
has led to this depression.
Soon or late, each soul must face
reality lived on the other side.

Your touch, that once was healing -
become no more than pain.
The feel of you, so misconstrued,
I seek the falling rain.

And here, within the mist, I see it true.
And find the heart to keep on loving true...
