Acid Rain

Acid rain, the tears they shed.
Rusty gears that bled in memory.
She stared into a point of nothingness.
The nothing gave a certain feel of bliss.

Living just beyond the pain
that plagued her night and day.
She couldn't change it anyway,
no matter how she'd tried.

Ideals turned into the lies
of politics and nursery rhymes.
The pleasure and the ecstasy
were long ago and far away.

Acid rain, the tears they shed.
Rusty gears that bled in memory.
She stared into a point of nothingness.
The nothing gave a certain feel of bliss.

Fading with the light on high,
she couldn't find the strength
to say goodbye...
