A Seed

The mountains trembled, violently shaking.
Expounding on the games they had been playing.
Molten fissures dared express earth's need.
It all began within one toxic seed.

Nurtured in ambivalence, the silence
festered in the air they breathed.
It began within the gnawing need
that bred so constantly within their dreams.

The darkness passed into another valley.
Terror gripped the air they breathed tonight.
The safe and warm, somehow became
the misery of life without the light.

Cold and angry pressure, once denied
in their depression, had muddied all
the atmosphere of play. A child called,
within the fog - pure fright of innocence.

He couldn't fix what was invisible.
Shadows moved, began to touch
the drops of happiness he had received.
His thirst became an ardent misery.

Misty moisture floating in the air,
without the condensation.
Suddenly, the mire of his sensations
broke the cup. He supped on emptiness.

A brilliant flare. The fire's glare.
Burning all too bright within his stare.
The mountains trembled, violently shaking.
Expounding on the games he had been playing.

Molten fissures dared express earth's need.
It all began within one fear-filled seed...
