Bring Her There

The bicycle would bring her there,
just where the road became a sign
society had named as a dead end.
And there, a vision opened out within
her soul, in heartbeats that were
stopped somehow, just there.

Rocky Mountain highs conceived
within a lake so brilliantly concealed.
Flat, the rock she set herself upon.
Even as the world spun itself anew
within her altered vision. Spectacular -
the only word she found in this
description of the ever growing
mystery of life's creation.

Mist hanging o'er the deep blue waters.
Waiting for a peak to form in dreams
where her imagination wandered.
The feel of peace ascending into her.
And then the blur, as time began again.
For mere moments of such happiness
could never quite amend the flow of time.

A bicycle had brought her there,
the energy of motion just her own.
And there, just where the road
became a sign society had named
dead end, a vision opened out within
her soul - in heartbeats that were
stopped somehow, just there - just where
the feel of utter life began...
