Excruciating

He had mournful eyes.
She knew no others.
Intense, the pain
that bonded them
in turn.

As if a mesh of flesh and blood
were stronger, more defiant
than the food that they were fed.
Becoming one, half way around
the sun.

The clouds were weeping,
desperately, for them.
One never knew the length
of life or death for men.
So take it now.

Before the loving all
gets stalled again.
Live it. Breathe it.
Never ask for a release.
Not now, not ever after.

Suffer it, and feel it soar.
Dive into the surf and roar.
Do it. Or recluse yourself
from life. Suffer all the strife
until the bliss is finally found.

Don't settle for the half
when whole is waiting
in the sound of just one voice.
You've always had a choice,
wake up and take it now.

Else find yourself
imprisoned within him.
He had such mournful eyes.
She knew no others.
Intense, the pain
that bonded them in turn.
Excruciating, how the fire burns
the love away...
