White horses running quickly
through the fields of her dream.
If only she had never seen
the pain that it would mean -
another death announced at dawn's arrival.
And soon that death would
be her own.
It seemed forever that she'd known -
yet time slipped by within asymmetry.
It was as if she lived within the dream.
Those dead and gone were seen
there, just at the corner of her vision.
Idealistic dreams of love and honor
were converging in the center of it all.
She'd stalled for much too
Withered limbs would not grow steady.
Reason left her mind too high and dry.
And there wasn't any room to wonder why -
Not now, amid the storms attacking
deep inside her cells. And so she dwelled -
just one more moment, on the edge
of the unknown. Seeking still to find
her way back home.
The hindrance of her hesitation
dissipated as the change drew near.
White wings became a fluttering.
Vibrations filling everything
