Light Sparkling

They sparkled in her eyes, the Christmas lights.
To ease her spirit into taking flight to realms
beyond the everyday. Where love was waiting
for her endless call. Aging into innocence again.
Joy beckoned and the tears flowed free.
Emotions flowed, the cause was still unknown.
And here affection matters more
than any scheme of over-planned effect.
A little effort crossing o'er the borders to infinity.
Where love lives on through all eternity.
And days of yore become the ever-new.

Living in the heights, there was no pain.
Experience became its own refrain.
Another song insisting to be sung.
Another rung to climb to clouds that hung
themselves in welcome of the heavens.
Light sparkling upon the morning dew.
Rainbow glory, life conceived anew.
The love we share. The care we give.
The simple things that we can live.
They matter in the mean of all that is...
