Scorned by those who used to offer home.
Military discipline that only led to death.
They lived the high and low without the breadth.

Parents whipped by scandalous opinions.
Darkened days of anger spent
because of systems' unrelenting views.
They cried, but no one ever knew their tears.

Huddled in a ball, they faced the fearsome

the one sure fate they bore. Turning back
to ancient lore, they sought the truth this time.

would now be heard. Modern, all the sounds
that swelled within their moving minds.
Seeking, yet denying every find.

Youth foundering within the great unknown.
Scorned by those who used to offer home.
Loving lies, the base that faltered.
Shattered lives that ever altered
all the hope that loving used to bring...
