Disaster Struck

A roll of thunder up the spine.
A flash of light. The world went blind.
Rain pouring down, surrendering the snow.
Wind howling brought the days of old back home.
Insistently, the nature of it all became extreme.
Fear running through the visions of their dreams.
The mourning rush enveloped in a graying twilit scheme.
Heads filled with its incendiary rain.
Molten waves of tortured screams.
A roaring ocean gone insane.
A moonlit streak was glowing through the sky.
Clouds billowing in anger up on high.
They never thought it could have reached them there.
Within their ordered world of endless care.
A roll of thunder up the spine.
A flash of light. The world went blind.
Disaster struck as time was washed away...
