Disturbing thoughts.
They spread a dissonance.
We try to stay so uninvolved.
We never really can.
The spirit of the air
makes its demands
each time we feel
the need to breathe.
Let's face it now:
man's great hostility
has never lessened.
The lessons that we learn
from one another, sadly,
often lead to just more misery.
Just go to the movies
one Saturday night
and you'll see it all
through yet another's eyes.
Disturbing thoughts.
They just flow through our heads.
As if a spirit of the dead were speaking.
The dissonance has almost
turned to weeping in response.
But it's never quite relieved.
No matter your belief it isn't real...
