Hope Diving

When I look at what my life has become,
I cannot help but wonder where
the years of time have gone.
The hope, the dreams - such fantasies
revealed in those moments when I dared
to care for all I never was or would become.

Hope diving in a downward spiral.
Into the deep beliefs that travel on
in other lives, in other minds, beside
our own - and yet still linked to us
within the miracle of life that made
us known in its unknowing.

Consciousness evolving in exposure.
Mysteries, once buried deep within.
Bubbling, the cauldron spins itself
into the soup of all our lives.
A pleasant bent before the aftertaste.
To tell ourselves our life was never
wasted, after all.

As we fall into the gravity
that bears us always down.
Urging us to greet the core.
Expounding images of evermore.
While slow, but sure, the hands
of time move on.

Hope diving in a downward spiral.
Into the deep beliefs that travel on
in other lives, in other minds, beside
our own - and yet still linked to us
within the miracle of life that made
us known in its unknowing...
