On and On

Deeper and deeper
digging into dirt
of days gone by.
Surmising that their kind
of lives could never live
beyond the pain amassed
in chosen actions.

Where heaven then,
for all the many...?
Strayed away
before the end
came due.

Yet all the love
that they once knew
had lingered on, untouched.
Filling up the empty spaces.
Feeling into spans of grace.

And thus, the infinite
still lingers on. There, amid
the warring classes. Here,
within the worn-out masses
of their blind beliefs.

Time and space are shuffling
toward death within an intimate
and infinite embrace. While here,
within these earthen borders,
love still finds a way to fill
their ordered days of death.

This love was always infinite.
It never fell to their indignities.
But rather built - within a shift -
another realm where hearts
live on and on...
