Black Light

Gloomy days of persecution.
Self-held grief. No restitution.
It seems as if the sun will never
shine on us again.
Sinking in a pit of gloom, just when...
An urgent burst of energy arrives.
Enough to make you feel as if alive.
They never said it would be easy.
Honesty won't stop the sleazy
from the harm they always wish to do.
And yet to be like them is just untrue.
To self, to soul, to all that's really you.
A lifetime spent in proof it can be other.
The path was bent and crazy from their cries.
That doesn't mean you really have to die.
No matter all the strife, your life has purpose.
No matter all the pain, the love comes through.
A burst of light within the night.
A brightness that envelopes every plight.
Gliding through the gloomy nights
on ever-changing currents of black light...
