Kind and cruel.
Another set of opposites.
Blurred borders bringing
so much more confusion.
Relationship in rarefied infusion.
Strangers walking in the park.
Loving when the light turns dark.
A touch of passion infiltrated
by a trust misplaced and tainted.

Kind and cruel.
To love or duel...?
Or face the pain of all the many days
spent too alone. And realize your home
would never welcome you again.
To reach and touch. To feel the pain.
Lone wanderer within the rain.
Searching for the sun again
but finding cold, dark clouds.

Kind and cruel.
To feel abuse.
Subtly imbedded in the ruse
where love and hate are intermeshed.
To live it all within the flesh.
Wondering what path might lead
to spaces where your heart won't bleed.
In time and joy, conspiracy abides.
As age enforces punishments devised
by sometimes love - so kind and cruel.
