Dance of Love

One small faery, all alone
sits on a timeless rock
in a meadow once alive
with dreams of love

and focuses on only this
the glow of autumn moon
inviting it to enter her
and set her free

that she might be
that dance of love again
she breathes in deep and then
just fades away

just like the moon within the day
for the sun arose too soon
and in its brightness shunned the moon
now moonglow scatters in the wind

and the cry of one small faery sends
vibrations ringing out in space
will love answer in the future grace
of spring

and how will this little faery sing
through days of ice and cold
if the tale is never told
in lands of time…?
