Goddess Emerging

I look into the mist and see
a shadowed form
The face is a kaleidoscope
of every female ever born

Each distinct
and ever-changing
living now
inside of me

the young, the old
the stern, the giving
and then ending life

each wanting
to make a difference
while difference is the very sword dividing
through ages of incompatibility

Like ions of tension stretched across time
the backward view unfolds
with now and then a figure shining brightly
bridging gaps of pure disparity

Itís she, and she alone that we must follow
embodiment of wisdomís unity
with faces ever-changing
in a visage seldom held

The Goddess waits
in mists so long unparted
for seeker of the loving of the light
to open, unrestricted to the spirit
and memory of Goddess burning bright
