Grace and Gratitude

In grace and gratitude, we love
beyond the multitude, the mass;
seeking to enhance the mood
of thought that leads to only solitude;
feeling darkness flow right through
the light of consciousness.

Oh, intimate delight of touch,
we dance as only lovers can
completing within synchrony
a unity withheld from those
who utter only platitudes
to please and to appease authority.

As a long forgotten attitude
of gentleness within rebellion
insists on its completion now,
flowing through all that we do;
sinking, sweetness tastes itself
beyond the poles
and bents of all restraint;

Adorned within a raiment,
glowingly replete,
speaking now within a vision
composed of grace and gratitude
insisting on the task we must complete:
to love, in utter essence
all we are and all that
comes to be in us . . .
