Her Dream

In the dark of night
the sky's so bright
that still it shows
the slopes and valleys
of the moving clouds

and barely a breeze was stirring
yet energy rose nonetheless
springing from the heart
of the Earth herself
as she bathed before dressing
in springtime array

Rich, the scent of dampened earth
slight chill from snow
before it slid away
coaxed with ease
by the somnolent breeze
to breathee once again for the earth

and silence rose within a mist
of vaporous delight
as spirits joined within this night
of Her great imagining

while here
within Her dream
we stand
partaking of it all . . .
