Her Eyes

Her eyes
they haunted him with mystery
and a beauty he had never known before
when caught within a waking dream
he felt her drawing near
and reaching out somehow
within a centered concentration
felt her hand touch his

How could this be?
It seemed the moon was haunting him
taunting, teasing, pleasing
something more to come to be
within this silent symphony
rushing unabatedly
through veins that seemed
to burn impressions in his mind

Her eyes
He never knew such fascination
for no matter where he went
or what he tried to do
her eyes were with him too
pure lens that made the world come alight
in altered sight of every variation's theme

and meaning seemed to come to him unasked
rushing like a slow and easy stream
that simply was
and needed nothing more than this
unending vision found within her eyes . . .
