Startled, shocked
and yet an impetus is brought to life
and movement must prevail
for we have a choice
in how this tale of life will come to be

as fear
exposed in all its impotence
once again becomes the sense
of all that's real

and the feel of love
in all its glory
begins in its arrival
to tell the story of creation

and in just this sense of shock
an understanding will arise
if we allow
this impetus to lead us to

feelings and emotions
that we never knew before
that startle
and can shock us
to the core
where heart is found
