Just Like the Breeze

Something ancient, something old
forever being born anew
rising from the base of life
constantly renewed
and thus renewing
even as it changes form
and love comes into being

not because of will or need
nor even of desire
but more than this
for love is the fire
that nurtures the seeds
of all of life
that lives creatively
in a future few foresee

yet fate is wise
and destiny prevails
throughout the many trails
and tales of life in time

It leads us now
to come back to
the way we used to be
running wild and free
just like the breeze
that plays itself
through all eternity . . .
