Just One Moment

For just one moment in time
you held me tenderly
You listened as I spoke the truth I'd found
and now, with time and space unbound

I feel you reaching out to me again
a touch of soul and then
you disappear into the mists of mind
where eternity becomes no more than time

keeping you just out of reach
What madness does this reason teach?
when movement becomes meaningless
and keeps us from the sweet caress

whose touch alone can heal
when the dream is in the feel
of you and I
when in that eternal moment of time

we found a way to be, just be
and less became eternity
in rhyme
with all of time . . .
