In search of truth, still seeking
Others rage at truth bestowed
What happened to the afterglow
of love?

Pain blossoms at the dissonance
What happened to the innocence
of trust?
Yet it seems I must endure

Endure the pain and find a way
to make it through another day
Seeking calm amid the storms
looking for a heart to warm

to share these empty hours with me
discovering eternity
without the pain untruth will bring
Why does intellect make everything
so hard?
