Raindrops Fall

Raindrops on my windowpane
blur my sight
that I might entertain
an inner vision
of the world at large

Big and small and in between
the raindrops gather here
to sneak a peak at what's inside
before they up and run away
for they too are tired
of the gray and gloom
of what could be
a bright and shiny springtime day

so they seek warmth
and they seek light
before they dissipate
and take to flight
within the wind

much as we seek warmth
at night before we sleep
to dream the dreams
of spirit taking flight
through realms intangible as air

yet real, so real
each feel of love created
in these visionary dreams
of raindrops fall . . .
