The Silence Sworn

A surging wave, so quickly spent.
It melted into dirty golden sand.
Discovering the fallacy of man.
Myths of bliss, in death were born.

An empty seashell floated on the swell.
Poseidon drank himself right into hell.
Empowered by the hatred of the depths
that he perceived, he quickly learned
to spread his misery.

Hercules was foiled by a boiling oils' blend.
Hypocrites could never make a friend.
They brought their war into the stars.
The plague of battle echoed far and wide.
Oedipus was never meant to die.

The kings had lost their courage
as the rust began to steal
into the silvered surface of their steel.
Venus traveled further from the moon.
Avalon was lost in mists
too thick to travel through.
Aphrodite's island was removed.

Modern haunts of mice and men
lived within the gloom, and then
exploded into dust. The lust
they gained was never rearranged.
Battle-torn, the earth began to groan.
Fissures that reflected all the tunes
that they collected. Singing of
the great hypocrisy.

A surging wave, so quickly spent.
Melting into dirty golden sand.
Discovering the fallacy of man.
Myths of bliss, in death were born.
The silence sworn was bellowing for more...
